The Supreme court seven-member panel of justices today annulled the election of Emeka Ihedioha and declared Hope Uzodinma as the duly elected governor of Imo State.

In the lead judgement read by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Edun, the apex court ordered that the certificate of return issued to Ihedioha be immediately withdrawn and a fresh certificate of return issued to Uzodinma.
The court also directed that Uzodinma be sworn in immediately as governor of Imo State.
